The Women, Infants, and Children Nutrition Program and Farmer's Market Nutrition Program are serving Crawford, Iowa, Lafayette and Richland Counties.
Their services include monthly checks for free foods including milk, juice, cheese, infant formula, eggs, peanut butter or dry beans, and cereal. The Farmer's Market Nutrition Program offers coupons for fresh produce at farmers' markets in the summer. The programs also offer services on practical tips on feeding infants and small children, healthy eating during pregnancy, how to breastfeed, and more. An additional important aspect of the program is also getting assistance for immunizations for children, referrals to doctors, dentists, and other helpful programs.
